Jalan Rumah Tinggi: HDB building periods, flat sizes and resale evidence

Jalan Rumah Tinggi contains a varied HDB building inventory rather than a single development cohort. The official records checked on 19 October 2026 cover nine residential blocks and 978 homes, with completion years from 1963 to 1998. Recorded heights range from four to 22 storeys. Those differences make the actual block and building form important when comparing homes sharing the same street name.
The housing stock comprises 214 three-room, 418 four-room and 346 five-room sold flats in the property dataset. The earliest completion label belongs to Block 37, recorded in 1963; Blocks 8 and 9 are recorded in 1983, and Block 10 in 1986. The other five residential blocks carry completion years between 1995 and 1998. Check a flat’s own lease commencement separately from these building labels.
HDB’s complete October 2025–September 2026 registration window contains 22 Jalan Rumah Tinggi resales. Six three-room transactions had a median of S$311,500 and a S$301,000–S$337,000 range. Nine four-room sales had a median of S$790,000, ranging from S$560,000 to S$838,888. These modest samples are dated transaction evidence rather than a reliable measure of street-wide price movement.
The seven five-room registrations had a median of S$875,000 and ranged from S$790,000 to S$1,150,000. Their recorded areas span 118 to 136 square metres and leases start in 1984 or 1999. In contrast, all six three-room sales were 53-square-metre Standard flats with a 1969 lease start. Compare like-for-like area and lease cohorts before treating either group as a benchmark for a home advertised today.
Property.co’s current rail guide identifies Queenstown (EW19) and Redhill (EW18) among the surrounding station options, both on the East–West Line. The useful comparison is the journey from the specific block, including the relevant entrance and any bus connection. A street-level station reference does not establish a walking route or travel time from every home.
Gan Eng Seng Primary School’s current official contact page confirms its campus at 100 Redhill Close. Use the primary school’s own information when researching it, rather than confusing it with Gan Eng Seng School. A confirmed school location is a starting point for planning daily journeys; it does not establish an official home-to-school distance, admission priority or eligibility for a particular flat.
NParks describes Alexandra Queensway Park Connector as a 2.3-kilometre route starting at Commonwealth Avenue and ending at Alexandra Road via Queensway. It links into the wider recreation network towards HortPark and the Southern Ridges. The connector’s published length is not the distance from a Jalan Rumah Tinggi home. Check the chosen access point, actual route and current notices when planning an outing.
