Who runs Property.co

Property.co is operated by REG (UEN 53509477M), 101 Upper Cross Street, #10-22, People’s Park Centre, Singapore 058357. REG decides how the information described on this page is used and is responsible for it under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act.

To ask what personal data Property.co holds about you, to correct it, to withdraw your consent or to have it deleted, email admin@property.co.

Enquiries

When you send an enquiry, Property.co stores your name, email, optional phone number, message and the time you gave consent. For a real listing it emails them to the listing’s agent (when the listing has one) and to the Property.co team, and sends a copy to you; replying to that copy reaches the agent. Emails are sent through Postmark. Only signed-in administrators can read enquiries in Property.co. Enquiries on sample listings are not emailed to anyone. Closed enquiries are deleted 12 months after they are closed.

In your browser

Saved homes, saved searches and the homes you choose to compare are kept in your browser’s storage on this device. Without an account they are not sent to Property.co and do not follow you to other devices; clearing your browser data removes them. If you sign in to a Property.co account, they are also kept with your account so they appear on your other devices, until you remove them or ask us to delete your account.

Sending an enquiry or an alert request, or signing in, sets a session cookie and a security token that protects the form; both expire after two hours without activity. Your answer to the cookie question below is kept in your browser’s storage, not in a cookie.

Analytics and advertising

Property.co asks before using Google’s services. Until you choose Accept, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics or advertising cookies are set. If you accept, two Google services run on the pages you visit:

  • Google Analytics counts visits and which pages are read, so we can see what is useful. It sets cookies (names starting _ga) and sends Google your browser’s details, the pages you view and an approximate location from your internet address. We do not send Google your name, email, phone number or anything you type into a form.
  • Google AdSense shows ads, each marked “Advertisement”. Google and its partners may use cookies to choose ads, including ads based on your visits to other websites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google’s ad settings.

Google handles this information under its privacy policy; it may be processed outside Singapore. You can change your answer at any time with Cookie choices at the bottom of every page; choosing Decline removes the Google cookies Property.co can reach and stops Google’s services from loading.

Agent applications

When a property agent applies on the List with us page, Property.co stores their name, CEA registration number, mobile, email, agency and message, and checks the registration on CEA’s public register. Approved applicants get an agent profile and a sign-in. Applications are deleted 30 days after they are approved or declined.

Listing your own property

If you list your own property from your account, Property.co stores the listing (including its private unit number, which is never shown), your optional mobile number and whether to show it, and when you confirmed that you own the property or may advertise it. Admins check each listing before it goes live. Enquiries and viewing requests about it are emailed to you. Your email address is never shown on the listing; your mobile is shown only if you choose. Closed listings are kept with your account until you ask us to delete it, which removes them and their photos.

Photo contributors

If you share development photos for credits, Property.co stores your name, the name you want shown with your photos, your email, the photos you send (with when you accepted the photo licence terms) and your credits. Signing in uses a link emailed to you; a session cookie keeps you signed in. Approved photos are shown on the development’s page with your chosen name. Photos we don’t use are kept with your account until you withdraw them or close it.

If you ask us to delete your details, your account, credits and the photos you sent are deleted, and your name is removed from photos already shown, which stay on the site under the licence you gave. We keep the signed licence agreement (a PDF with your name and email) as the record of that licence.

Viewing bookings

When you book a viewing, Property.co stores your name, mobile number, email, the time you chose and when you agreed. It emails the booking to the listing’s agent and the Property.co team, and a confirmation to you with a link to cancel; you and the agent get a reminder the day before. Bookings are deleted 30 days after the viewing.

Travel time

If you enter a postal code to see travel times from listings, it is kept in your browser’s storage on this device. Each time, the postal code is sent to Property.co and to OneMap (Singapore Land Authority) to work out the journey. Property.co keeps the journey times for 30 days to answer the same trip faster, linked to places, not to you.

Ask about HDB

The quick questions on Ask about HDB are answered by Property.co from its own data; nothing is sent anywhere else. Typed questions are sent, with up to two earlier questions and answers from the same page, to Anthropic (the company behind Claude), which writes the answer from Property.co’s data. Property.co keeps typed questions and their answers so the same question can be answered again without sending it, with nothing about who asked; questions that look like they contain personal details (an email address, phone number or NRIC number) are answered but not kept. To limit use, it counts typed questions per visitor for one day using a scrambled form of the IP address, which is then discarded. Please don’t include names, phone numbers or other personal details in a question.

Email alerts

If you ask for email alerts on a saved search, a weekly HDB market update for a town, or to hear when a listing’s price drops, Property.co stores your email address, the search or listing, how often you want emails, the time you agreed and which homes or prices we have already sent you. A price alert ends by itself when the listing is taken down, with one last email to say so. We first email a link to confirm; nothing else is sent until you do, and requests not confirmed within 7 days are deleted. Alerts are sent through Postmark. Every alert email has an unsubscribe link, which deletes the alert and your email address from it straight away.

Maps and tours

Opening a map loads map images from outside services, which receive normal web request information such as your IP address and the area shown: OneMap (Singapore Land Authority) for every map: search results, properties, stations, condos and street guides. The site’s fonts come from Property.co’s own server. Some listings have a video or 3D tour: it loads from YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode), Vimeo, Matterport or Kuula only when you open it, and that service then receives your IP address. Property.co does not ask for your current location.

Before launch

Please use fictional contact details while testing. A full privacy notice and data-retention policy will be published before Property.co launches publicly.
