Bain Street’s HDB property-inventory entry contains two residential blocks, 232 and 233, each with 120 homes. The official information checked on 19 October 2026 therefore records 240 homes, with both blocks listed at 25 storeys and completed in 1979. This is the scope of the guide’s recorded housing stock, rather than a count of every building or property in the surrounding city district.

All 240 homes in those residential records are classified as four-room sold flats. A shared block generation and room category do not establish identical condition, orientation or layout. Start with the individual floor plan, level, lease documents and listing details when deciding which past transaction is relevant to a home being considered.

The complete October 2025–September 2026 HDB registration window contains three Bain Street sales, all four-room flats. Their median registered price was S$783,000, within a S$750,000–S$980,000 range. Three observations are a thin historical sample, not a dependable valuation band for every flat or evidence of a price trend across the wider city market.

All three records were 82-square-metre Improved flats with lease commencement in 1980, separate from the buildings’ 1979 completion label. Block 233 recorded S$750,000 on storeys 07–09 in January 2026 and S$980,000 on storeys 22–24 in May. The remaining record was Block 232, storeys 16–18, registered in March at S$783,000. Those differences do not isolate the effects of floor, condition or sale timing.

Property.co’s current rail guide identifies Bras Basah, CC2, and Esplanade, CC3, on the Circle Line. They are useful reference points for comparing the actual journey from a selected block and the connections required for a regular trip. A street-level station reference does not establish a walking time, entrance route or step-free journey from every home.

The National Library’s current official reference-guide contact page places the Lee Kong Chian Reference Library on Levels 7 to 11 of the National Library Building at 100 Victoria Street. It is a concrete reference-and-research destination to investigate in the surrounding area. Check the appropriate service, level and current visitor information for the intended visit, rather than assuming all library facilities share one access arrangement.

NParks lists Fort Canning Park as a 22-hectare hilltop park bounded by Hill Street, Canning Rise, Clemenceau Avenue and River Valley Road. It provides a separate recreation and heritage destination beyond the residential blocks. Consult the current park map, chosen entrance and access information when planning an outing; the wider-area setting does not imply that each Bain Street home has the same route to the park.

Explore homes on Bain Street in the listings section, or browse Property.co’s CBD & Marina Bay homes for sale and rent. Compare each listing’s asking price, floor area, layout and lease details with the historical resale evidence in this guide.
